Who is your favorite Christian musician/song and why?

It's hard for me to pick out one favorite song! Right now I love Here I Am To Worship. The song just really moves me.

How did your musical career/hobby begin?

I got interested in playing guitar and singing as kid (about 12 or 13 years old) I loved John Denver and because he sang and played guitar, I did too. When my family moved to Annapolis I met a girl who lived down the street who also played guitar and sang. She was involved in the Luther League program at her church (St. Martin's) and brought me there. That's where I started singing for other people besides my family...and I haven't stopped singing since!

What does "praise and worship" mean to you personally?

I'm not very good at these kinds of questions! I'm not that deep! I guess I would say that it means getting closer to God. This type of music and church service has brought me closer to God than I have ever been. I have a passion for music and music has helped me to have passion for God.

What makes Joy Reigns Church special?

There are so many things that make Joy Reigns special! It's a place that is welcoming and loving. A place where God's presence is all around. We have a wonderful Pastor in Pastor Nicki, and an equally wonderful intern in Brian Spahr, and the praise team is awesome. It's truly a living, breathing expression of God's joy!
